She stays exactly who she is, but you don’t. And somewhere in between all the becoming and unbecoming you start to notice the way the light keeps finding you. It slips through the shutters in the morning, over half-packed bags and the remnants of yesterday, and it lands on the places you keep standing still… as though she’s trying to show you something. Trying to tell you something new. 

And maybe she is. 

Maybe you check the sky before your phone as you ease into your day; letting the warmth be the pull in your chest and not the plan you made last week. Maybe you start treating everything as a reason; to stay, exactly where you are, just a little longer. A sign to change your mind and take the long way home. A sign to become someone nobody expected you to be. 

You keep changing…you’re meant to. And each morning the sun finds you, and waits, patiently, while you decide what this life is for.

And then, as if by magic, the sign you’ve been waiting for arrives. 

And everything feels… just right.
